Beginners

All children are welcome to attend our Irish Dance classes, During your first class you will be introduced to the basics of Irish dancing and learn a traditional reel.

What if my child doesn't know anyone?

Lots of children start Irish Dancing not knowing anyone. Irish dancing is a very sociable hobby where children make lots of new friends outside of school. There will be other children around the same age as your child and he/she will be learning in a fun environment

All classes are taught under the tuition of Louise Walsh fully qualified Irish dance teacher- TCRG Registered with Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha Dublin www.clrg.ie

What to expect during your first class

Dancing: Your child will be introduced and taught step by step to learn a basic traditional reel step " skip 2, 3's"

Each child is welcomed with open arms, as i aim to make classes fun and enjoyable whilst learning about every aspect of Irish dancing.

Registration form: For health and safety reasons and also child protection a registration form for each child must be filled out.

Parents code of conduct:. From previous experience throughout my own dancing career often parents watching was distracting and not permitted to stay in the class, I have therefore implemented this rule within the school to provide an environment to enable each child to strive and to perform to there best ability.

Please drop your child off 5 minutes before the start of class. Parents are welcome to stay and seating will be available outside the hall in the lobby area .If you are not staying for the duration of class please arrive on time to collect your child.

Location & Parking:  There is ample free parking  available at Homewood road church, located directly outside for easy access when dropping off and picking up children for class.
